What is a silent auction?
A silent auction is a selection of items, experiences and services that are sold at your event to raise money. Approximately one silent auction item for every 10 guests is appropriate. Guests compete to see who ultimately ''wins'' the item.
Guests bid in writing on bid sheets or via SMS with our unique auction bidding system. At the close of the auction the highest bidder wins. This is a great non-time-consuming way of generating additional funds at your event.
What is a live auction?
An auctioneer ''sells'' these items to your guests in a verbal manner and tries to garner the maximum funds for each. Unique items of memorabilia, like signed guitars or renowned artists like Pro Hart as well a our thrill-seeking and pamper packages are ideal to use in this format.
How much does it cost?
There are no upfront costs! All items are supplied on consignment with payment due only when the item is sold. Our attendance and assistance with your event is also at no charge.
What is Ezybidz Fundraising Solutions' role?
We will have a consultant on hand for the duration of your event. Their role is to deliver the items, set up the display, manage the silent auction and assist with the smooth running of the auction. Additionally, any questions relating to the items can be dealt with immediately.
Who collects the money?
Generally there are two preferred forms of payment - cash and credit card. With our mobile facility, we can take credit card/eftpos payments on your behalf. After the function, we deduct our reserves from what we've collected and write you a cheque for the difference, usually within 48 hours. This saves you chasing payments later.
What if I need items framed?
We provide a service to our fundraising clients whereby we will frame your items at cost for you and bring them with us to the event. This frees up more of your time to look after the rest of the function.
How many items do we need?
This again depends upon the size of the event, number of guests etc. Once we know more details about your particular function, we can tailor a package to suit your needs.
How much notice do you need?
For an event requiring 30 items we would need as little as a weeks notice.
